We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pricing Control Specialist to support our international freight forwarding operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate freight rates, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the timely quotation of international shipments (air, ocean, and trucking). The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently under pressure, stay organized across multiple tasks, and demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and vendor management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and update rate databases for ocean, air, and inland freight.
- Coordinate with carriers, agents, and vendors to obtain and validate rates.
- Maintain and manage relationships with freight vendors and service providers.
- Prepare and issue timely and competitive freight quotes for customers and sales teams.
- Maintain organized records of all quotations and pricing documents.
- Monitor and analyze pricing trends, cost changes, and market developments.
- Ensure pricing accuracy and compliance with internal margin requirements.
- Support tender responses and large-volume quotation projects.
- Work closely with sales, operations, and overseas offices to optimize routing and pricing.
- Identify opportunities to streamline the pricing process through system improvements or automation.
- Assist in periodic rate benchmarking and margin analysis reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Economics, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in pricing, quotations, or operations within a freight forwarding/logistics company.
- Experience working with and managing vendors, including rate negotiations and performance evaluation.
- Strong understanding of global shipping modes (FCL, LCL, air freight, trucking).
- Highly organized, with the ability to work in a timely and efficient manner across multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with freight systems (gofreight ) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Multilingual ability (especially Spanish) is a plus.
- Familiarity with U.S. and international customs regulations and surcharges.
- Experience handling RFQs and global pricing projects.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
