Salary Range: $49,000 - $76,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations according to established procedures and specifications.
• Inspect welds for quality, completeness, and adherence to standards.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, including adjustments and basic maintenance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
• Identify and report defective materials or weld inconsistencies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations.
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to resolve welding issues.
• Document welding activities and production data accurately.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in welding preferred.
• Proven experience as a welder, with proficiency in various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of welding safety procedures and equipment operation.
• Experience with quality control and inspection of welds.
• Familiarity with different types of metals and their welding properties.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with automated welding systems (e.g., robotic welding, seam welding).
• - Certified welding inspector (CWI) or similar certification.
• - Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• - Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing welding equipment.
• - Experience with various welding processes beyond SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW (e.g., FCAW, SAW).
