CNC Lathe Programmer | Walker, MI
Salary Range: $56,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and maintain CNC programs for lathe operations.
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters.
- Optimize programs for efficiency, cycle time, and tool life.
- Perform test runs and make adjustments to programs as needed.
- Collaborate with machinists and engineers to resolve programming issues.
- Document program changes and maintain a revision control system.
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure part accuracy.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in G-code and M-code programming for CNC lathes.
- Demonstrated experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for generating toolpaths.
- Strong understanding of tooling, workholding, and fixture design for lathe operations.
- Ability to interpret engineering blueprints, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications.
- Knowledge of various metals and their machining properties.
