An opportunity for an experienced ICU Registered Nurse is available in Joelton, TN to provide critical care to adult patients in a fast-paced hospital setting. This contract role requires clinical expertise and the ability to work flexible shifts, supporting multiple units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients, including ventilator management, vasoactive drips, and advanced assessments.
- Monitor and manage patients with neuro, stroke, STEMI, tracheostomy, and post-sheath care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Utilize EMR systems, specifically Cerner, for accurate documentation.
- Maintain adherence to patient safety and infection control protocols.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee or multiple states.
- Minimum of one year ICU experience with ventilator and critical care skills.
- Healthcare certifications including BLS and ACLS.
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR and navy scrubs dress code.
- Ability to work day shifts from approximately 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM; floating between medical-surgical, step-down, and emergency departments as needed.
Contract Details:
- Day shift schedule with block scheduling; up to a 2:1 patient ratio.
- 21-bed unit providing critical care services.
- No guaranteed 48-hour workweek or holiday time off; maximum time off request is one week total.
- Immediate start.
