We are seeking a reliable and skilled Box Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, as well as the ability to operate various types of vehicles, including box trucks and manual transmission vehicles. The Truck Driver will play a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of safety.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a truck or delivery vehicle to transport goods to various locations.
- Load and unload cargo using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns.
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organization.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding safety and conduct while on the road.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license (CDL) preferred, with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles effectively.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Experience with heavy lifting and moving items safely is essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience as a courier or delivery driver is a plus.
