Bekaert Deslee is the world’s leading specialist in the development and manufacturing of mattress textiles, mattress covers and on trend sleep solutions with U.S. operations in Winston-Salem, NC. Bekaert Deslee develops stylish and smart mattress fabrics that will inspire, comfort and protect you during the night.

The main objective is operating the frame that applies a finish to fabric.

Responsibilities

• ​Verify information on weave cards matches what is being run on machine
• Patrol assigned machines and inspect cloth for off quality occurrences
• Repair warp breaks and weft breaks as they occur and restart machines
• Notify technician of problems with machine that affects efficiency or quality
• Creel yarn into creel stands if necessary
• Repair crossed warps
• Apply and use appropriate BMS codes
• Other duties, as assigned

Skills

• Proven experience as a machine operator
• Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery
• Understanding of production procedures
• Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
• Attention to detail
• Teamwork and communication skills
• Physical stamina and strength
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
