Senior Financial Analyst
Washington DC
Salary: ~$90-110,000

Education and Experience: BS/BA degree, plus approximately 8 or more years of experience in related field.

Requirements:

  • Support all aspects of financial reporting, internal controls, system upgrades, and special project oversight as needed to ensure effective financial operations.
  • Analyze system requirements to propose system upgrades and test/verify requirements based on the specific systems used to support ITA financial management systems through working with feeder systems, such as GFMS and CBS to enhance financial reporting to the client.
  • Develop financial management policies, manuals, handbooks, training, and related directives; conduct internal controls and risk assessments and manage/configure data and risk element structures for testing and sampling; and support the Department's financial management and oversight of specified special projects.

Position Summary: Provide financial support services to assist in the operation, oversight, and enhancement of ITA's financial management systems. Services will include the development and issuance of financial management policies, principles, standards, and procedures; facilitation of system interoperability between CBS, GFMS, and NFC core payroll processing systems; identify, analyze, propose, document and implement solutions to all financial systems interoperability issues, and review financial systems for compliance with Department of Commerce standards and provide guidance and recommendations.

Duties include:

  • Perform financial analysis, develop design documents that propose solutions, develop training plans and conduct training sessions.
  • Review existing general ledger balances to identify journal voucher and or adjusting entries.
  • Monitor and reconcile SF-132/SF-133.
  • Perform quarterly Undelivered Order (UDO) Reviews and monthly Unmatched Cost Reconciliation.
  • Develop internal control policies, standards, and procedures, conduct OMB A-123 testing.
  • Perform special project analysis and oversight of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the Corporation for Travel Promotions (CTP) programs.
