Overview

The RFP Advisor plays a strategic and detail-focused role, responsible for leading and supporting the development of high-quality and compliant Requests for Proposals (RFPs). This position manages cross-functional workflows to ensure deadlines are met, risks related to participation or non-participation are mitigated, and contractual obligations are fulfilled. By aligning RFP contents with both stakeholder expectations and organizational goals, the RFP Advisor drives value, efficiency, and competitive advantage throughout the proposal process.


Responsibilities

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Evaluate and Analyze RFPs to extract key requirements, scope of work, evaluation criteria and contract requirements.
  • Build and maintain tools and templates to streamline proposal response processes
  • Identifies and engages with appropriate internal and external proposal development resources
  • Collaborates with business development, subject matter experts, to develop RFPs and Scope of Work documents
  • Works with colleagues from varying business lines to cross-utilize knowledge and resources.
  • Review RFP responses to ensure accuracy and completeness, conduct a comprehensive analysis, and provide a well-informed award recommendation
  • Assist in the process of vetting and decision making toward award & non award decision.
  • Manage the completion and submission of all RFP paperwork and compliance forms.
  • Coordinate vendor registrations in key states to ensure compliance for all entities.
  • Provide training and awareness sessions to other departments on RFP process, trends, and needs.


Qualifications

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or five (5) or more years of purchasing experience in a gaming/hospitality environment or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA’S):

  • Must possess excellent time management skills.
  • Must possess ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from vendors, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Must possess ability to read and understand all Seminole Tribe of Florida’s policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, vendors and team members.
  • Must possess ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
  • Must possess ability to effectively present information to senior management.
  • Must possess ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic or schedule format.

MATHMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Must possess ability to work with mathematical concepts and to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Must possess ability to handle non-standard situations where independent judgement is required and limited guidelines exist.
  • Must possess ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited information exists.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Must possess the ability to operate a computerized inventory/purchasing system. 10-key adding machine experience preferred.
  • Must posses advanced Excel, database and PowerPoint skills
