Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for experienced school psychologists to support students with intense disabilities in the Kansas City, KS area. This role involves providing in-person psychological services, primarily conducting assessments for K-12 students who are non-verbal, physically impaired, or communicate using assistive technology devices. Candidates should be prepared to travel between multiple school sites within the district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological testing and assessments tailored to students with significant disabilities
- Collaborate with educational staff to develop supportive intervention plans based on assessment results
- Work closely with students who utilize assistive technology and adapt evaluations accordingly
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) development
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid school psychologist certification/licensure
- Experience working with students who have severe disabilities, including non-verbal and physically impaired populations
- Ability and willingness to travel between various campus locations as needed
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams
Location: Kansas City, KS area (contract position with potential travel among district sites)
