Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the 2025/2026 school year in a high school setting, serving students with moderate to severe disabilities. This onsite role is located in the Aurora, CO area and requires a candidate who is skilled in case management and familiar with Colorados special education regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and maintaining detailed case files in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Providing direct instruction and support within the classroom to meet the diverse needs of students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Collaborating with school staff and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Demonstrating flexibility in teaching approaches to adapt to various classroom demands
Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) special education certification or an application currently in progress
- Experience working in Colorado public schools, specifically within special education settings
- Strong organizational skills, particularly with paperwork and compliance related to case management
- Ability to engage and support students with a range of disabilities in a high school environment
