Location: Vernon, CA (On-site, Monday through Friday)

Pay Range: $25.00- $28.84 hourly

Our client, a fast-paced beverage and CPG company, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their finance team. This temporary-to-hire position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys solving problems collaboratively. You’ll play a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow, managing customer accounts, and supporting trade spend reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities
· Process customer invoices via ERP and EDI systems
· Apply customer payments accurately to open invoices
· Monitor AR aging and follow up on past-due accounts
· Maintain customer account records including credit limits and payment terms
· Investigate deductions related to trade promotions, shortages, pricing, and compliance
· Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and brokers to resolve disputes
· Escalate unresolved issues to the AR Supervisor
· Track deduction trends and communicate with customers professionally
· Match deductions to authorized promotional deals and allowances
· Maintain documentation for promotional activity and approvals
· Support trade spend reconciliation during month-end close
· Update AR aging and deduction tracking spreadsheets
· Assist in preparing weekly and monthly AR reports
· Participate in process improvement initiatives
· Support ERP and EDI data accuracy
Qualifications
· 2–4 years of AR, collections, or deductions experience (beverage or CPG preferred)
· Familiarity with ERP systems (and EDI billing)
· Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
· Experience with 3PLs, brokers, and retail portals is a plus
