This Mechanical Analysis Engineer role is based in Cranberry Township, PA, reporting to the Manager, RVI Load Development & Analysis • Reactor Component Engineering. The position follows a hybrid schedule; relocation assistance is not provided.

Your impact

• Engineer solutions for components inside the primary pressure boundary across Westinghouse-designed plants, including AP1000.
• Perform qualification and life-cycle evaluations using FEA (e.g., Ansys), closed-form methods, and Westinghouse proprietary codes.
• Partner with component, system, and manufacturing leads to integrate subsystems and resolve emergent design issues.
• Build and maintain project schedules with project managers and subsystem/component leads.
• Identify technical risks and drive mitigation to closure.
• Embed NRC/DOE/ASME standards and criteria into design activities.
• Collaborate with national labs, subcontractors, suppliers, fabricators, and customers; provide clear technical guidance.
• Support refueling outages both remotely and on-site, including time-sensitive 12-hour and overnight shifts.

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Engineering Mechanics, or Aerospace preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in component structural analysis or thermo-hydraulics.

Compensation

Base salary range: $69,200 to $86,500 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and skills. We are committed to transparency and equity in our people practices.
