As an Account Manager you will be in charge of contacting prospective and current customers to solicit sales of company products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Receive customer inquiries, and perform follow up procedures to include
- providing price quotes, new product information, manufacturer promotions, and receiving feedback regarding company products and services
- Contact prospective and current customers to solicit sales of company products and services
- Develop sales and profit margin goals
- Follow up on new leads and referrals to continually grow your customer base
- Provide customers with product samples and catalogs
- Assist and resolve customer complaints in a timely manner; notify management of problems and suggest corrective action
- Form a good relationship with decision makers for your accounts and foster the development of long term business relationships
- Review sales reports (3 month sales, commission, past due accounts, margin exception) to identify opportunities for additional revenues through margin management or new product offerings
- Conduct business reviews yearly with long term customers and shorter intervals with new customers
- Travel to customer locations to present company products and services and pricing information in a professional manner
- Represent the company in promoting our products, services and commitment to customer satisfaction
- Monitor market condition, product innovations, and competitor’s products, prices and sales
- Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events
- Provide on-the-job training to new sales employees
Requirements:
- Education/Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent. At least 4years B2B sales direct selling experience.
- Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word
- processing software; spreadsheet software; internet software vendor websites, order processing systems and database software.
