Location: Arlington, VA (Hybrid/Onsite as needed)
Duration: 3+ Month Contract (Potential to Extend)
Pay Rate: $50 – $55 / hour

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with an active CPA to support our client on a contract basis for a minimum of 3 months. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who can step in quickly, manage complex accounting activities, and support month-end and reporting needs in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Assist with financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP
- Analyze variances and provide insights to leadership
- Support audit preparation, including PBC requests and auditor inquiries
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance and operational teams
- Identify process improvements and support special accounting projects as needed
Qualifications
- Active CPA required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and adapt quickly
