Job Description

Job Title: Laboratory Operations Technician

Location: Santa Clara, CA 95054

Duration: 06 months of Contract (with possible extension)

Job Description

Support relocation of labs and offices from one facility to another facility.
Unpack and reinstall equipment at new site.
Learn and execute moderately complex instrument operations including shut-down procedures, installation procedures, qualification testing, integration testing.
Handle biohazardous liquid quality control material, blood specimen tubes.
Pack and unpack lab supplies and materials, in lab, warehouse, and office locations.
Must follow and maintain compliance to Abbott and regulatory standards, on-the-job, and safety training.
Quality documentation – complete service tickets and reports

Required Skills / Expertise

Job requires physical ability to move equipment, machinery, pack and unpack crates and boxes.
Familiar with engineering/scientific lab environment.
Self-motivated and able to function with minimal supervisory oversight.
Good communication skills.

Experience

Entry level
2 year college in engineering or sciences field, preferred
High school with STEM background, minimum.

Travel

• Requires local travel between Santa Clara and Sunnyvale sites (4.5 miles)
