Construction Coordinator
Location: Princeton, Indiana, United States
Rate: $47–50/hr | Full-Time | On Site
Benefits: Begin Day 1 – Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays
We are seeking a Construction Coordinator with an industrial background and experience working with general contractors. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with equipment such as robots, jigs, minor HVAC (relocating ducts), pipes, hoists, and lighting systems.
Job Description:
- Manage equipment installation and modification projects from scope creation to contract completion
- Conduct initial contract negotiations with installation contractors and negotiate field orders as they arise
- Typical projects include installation of: Robot/Jig Machine Cells, Transfer Systems, Conveyors, Cooling Water, Exhaust Systems, HVAC, Lighting, Sealer Systems, Utility Distribution, Hoist Systems
- Create machine specifications and manage project work with machine vendors and contractors for process equipment like transfer systems, conveyors, overhead rail systems, and AGVs
- Oversee general contractors, subcontractors, inspection/testing agencies, budgets, and schedules
- Coordinate activities across all organizations to ensure project success, including contractors, trucking/shipping companies, inspection/testing agencies, company process engineers, Seibi, and management teams
- Administer construction contracts and conduct onsite inspections to monitor compliance
- Direct contractor and subcontractor activities to support project schedule in compliance with plans and specifications
- Report project status to company management, including safety, schedule, budget, and standards compliance
- Provide post-project reflections and continuous improvement feedback
Requirements:
- Technical school or equivalent experience
- Experience in construction trades and construction project management
- Experience creating machine specs and equipment procurement
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to maintain a safe work environment
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and off-shifts as needed
- Microsoft Excel, Word, MS Project, and AutoCAD skills required
- Safety management experience, technical communication, and time management
- Electrical background is a plus
