Job Overview: Simpson Door Company, a leading manufacturer of high-quality wood doors, is seeking a highly skilled, tech-savvy Payroll Specialist to join our team in McCleary, Washington. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate multi-state payroll processing, compliance with federal and state regulations and managing our HR information systems to support the smooth operation of our HR functions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Process union and non-union payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal, multi-state, and local regulations.
· Manage Vacation/PTO/Sick/Floating Holiday accruals.
· Administer payroll wage data, deductions, employee status changes, benefits contributions, 401k participant changes/contributions, and garnishments.
· Prepare, reconcile and submit monthly union fringe benefits reports.
· Conduct routine audits (401k, payroll, BHT, NDT, Insurance, etc.)
· Quarterly federal and multi-state Payroll Tax Return reconciliation.
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and year end compliance reports.
- Ensure confidentiality and discretion at all times.
· Serve as the primary contact for payroll-related inquiries, resolving issues in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications:
· Expert Excel and data analysis skills.
· 5+ years of experience in multi-state payroll administration, benefits and HRIS management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
· Strong knowledge of payroll systems, HRIS platforms, and relevant labor laws.
· Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Experience with payroll systems or HRIS platforms; Paycom preferred
Annual Salary Range: $81,000 - $96,000 DOE
