Job DescriptionMedical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced ***Limited Scope Radiologic Technologist (LSRT)***
Minimum of 1 (one) year of experience as a Limited Scope Radiologic Technologist in an orthopedic setting preferred (but new graduates will be considered for temp-to-hire).
This is a FULL TIME / TEMP position (with possibility of Temp-to-Hire). The primary site will be located in Hampton, VA (23666); however, floating to Newport News and Suffolk locations is required. The position requires availability Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM during training. Once established in the role, the schedule transitions to a four-day work week (with an alternating weekday off) requiring availability between 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM.
Job Purpose:
The Limited Scope Radiologic Technologist (LSRT) is responsible for producing quality diagnostic radiographs within the scope of their Virginia licensure while providing exceptional patient care in a busy orthopedic practice.
Responsibilities:
A Day in the Life of a Limited Scope Radiologic Technologist (Orthopedics):

• Perform limited scope diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with Virginia licensure and physician orders.
• Review computer-generated images to determine whether studies are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
• Operate radiologic imaging equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining high-quality imaging standards.
• Utilize radiation safety measures and protective equipment to ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff.
• Position patients appropriately for ordered examinations while ensuring comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
• Explain imaging procedures and answer patient questions to promote a positive patient experience.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring all radiographic equipment and supplies are clean, organized, and ready for use.
• Monitor patients during imaging procedures and report any concerns or abnormal findings to the physician or clinical staff.
• Accurately document patient information and maintain imaging records within the electronic medical record.
• Coordinate workflow with physicians, medical assistants, and other clinical staff to maintain efficient patient flow.
• Assist patients with mobility limitations as needed while maintaining patient dignity and safety.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, physicians, and patients.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service to all patients and visitors.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies, HIPAA regulations, and radiation safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
Frequently standing, walking, and sitting. Ability to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull greater than 150 pounds with assistance when appropriate. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Requirements for the Limited Scope Radiologic Technologist:

• Preferred: 1+ years of experience as a Limited Scope Radiologic Technologist (new graduates will be considered).
• Preferred: Orthopedic practice experience.
• Required: Current Virginia Limited Scope Radiologic Technologist (LSRT) License.
• Required: Graduate of an approved Limited Scope Radiologic Technology program.
• Required: Current BLS Certification.
• Required: Ability to pass a background check.
• Required: Reliable, dependable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Required: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Preferred: Navy blue scrubs or solid-colored scrubs.
• Preferred: Experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW).
