What You’ll Do
- Provide inpatient psychiatric care for adults in a licensed behavioral health setting.
- Assess and stabilize adult patients presenting with general behavioral health issues.
- Manage clinical care in a team-based inpatient environment, including coordinated rounding.
- Collaborate with inpatient nurse practitioners supporting the medical team (including inpatient NPs and PRN support as needed).
- Participate in the facility’s weekend call coverage during your rotation as scheduled.
- Maintain a patient-centered approach that supports regulatory compliance and coordinated treatment planning.

About the Assignment
You’ll join a 48-bed licensed adult inpatient behavioral health facility in Newburgh, Indiana, supporting patients with general behavioral health needs. The model includes psychiatry coverage with typically two psychiatrists alternating 14 days on / 14 days off, so there is one psychiatrist on-site at a time, supported by inpatient nurse practitioners and PRN support as needed.
Schedule details: Rotation begins on a Monday and ends on a Sunday, with an 8:00 AM–5:00 PM weekend coverage window on both Saturday and Sunday during your rotation. The facility also notes that weekend call coverage occurs during the 14-day rotation.
