Position OverviewAs a Veterinary Technician, you’ll play an essential role in supporting our veterinarians and providing exceptional care to our patients and clients. You’ll use your technical skills daily in a supportive, growth-oriented environment that prioritizes teamwork, communication, and continuing education.
Here is What Your day May Consist of:

  • Provide compassionate care to all patients and clients
  • Maintain positive, cooperative relationships with team members
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and sanitary hospital environment
  • Prepare and maintain exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites
  • Accurately maintain medical records and patient documentation
  • Admit and discharge patients in accordance with hospital policy and doctor’s orders
  • Restrain patients safely and effectively during exams and procedures
  • Administer SQ, IM, and IV injections, and assist with anesthesia induction and monitoring
  • Collect and process laboratory samples, including blood draws, urinalysis, ear cytologies, skin scrapings, and fungal cultures
  • Perform and record results of in-house laboratory tests
  • Prepare and discuss treatment estimates and support hospital financial policies
  • Assist veterinarians in medical, surgical, and dental procedures
  • Prepare patients for surgery and monitor them through recovery
  • Manage and maintain surgical materials and sterile equipment
  • Perform radiographs and dental prophylaxis, including taking dental x-rays
  • Place IV catheters, manage fluid therapy, and operate IV pumps
  • Assist in preparing patients and equipment for ultrasound procedures
  • Recognize changes in patient condition and promptly notify veterinarians
  • Perform emergency procedures such as bleeding control, resuscitation, and airway management when necessary
  • Provide clear and confident client communication, including follow-up calls, lab results, and discharge instructions
  • Demonstrate initiative in advancing clinical skills through continuing education and hands-on learning


Here is What You Will Bring to the Position:

  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) preferred; experienced non-credentialed candidates will be considered
  • Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience in a veterinary setting
  • Strong technical skills and understanding of common medications, dosages, and side effects
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and client service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain active for extended periods
  • Must be comfortable working around animals of all temperaments
  • Availability for rotating weekends and holiday shifts
