Job DescriptionLHH is partnering with a well-known veterinarian-led network of pet care clinics headquartered in Dallas to find a skilled Senior Accountant. This is as newly created position due to growth. This position will also have clear trajectory to Manager in a short period of time.
This position offers a competitive salary of 100K-110K plus a discretionary bonus, a full benefits package, and a hybrid work schedule (3 days in-office, 2 day remote). This company has a laid back environment and also allows you to bring your dog to work.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain, record, and post transactions in the general ledger.
- Reconcile trial balance accounts and ensure accuracy.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for management.
- Work with other departments to strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes.
- Assist in tax-related tasks and working with outside contractors.
- Accrue expenses and costs across multiple accounts.
- Support the preparation of audit schedules and provide assistance during audits.
- Enhance ERP systems to align with business needs and improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all accounting procedures and workflows.
- Contribute to special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Public Accounting highly desired
- 4+ years of experience in an accounting role, preferably as a Sr. Accountant or team leader.
- Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and Journal Entries is required
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for accounting and financial purposes
- Experience with Month End Close procedures
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with major ERP
Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
