Job Overview
As the Studio Manager & Workshop Instructor at Luludi Living Art, you will play a key role in both the daily operations of the studio and the facilitation of our workshop programming. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, creative, and people-oriented, and who enjoys balancing behind-the-scenes studio management with leading engaging, hands-on classes.
You will be responsible for managing studio flow, inventory, materials, shipping, and overall organization, while also serving as an instructor for our terrarium, plant, and floral workshops in-studio, virtually, and at client sites.
This is a great role for someone who thrives in a small business environment, enjoys taking ownership of studio operations, and feels confident leading groups through creative workshop experiences.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to connect with people
- Teaching, facilitation, or workshop leadership experience preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to manage studio operations independently and proactively
- Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs and transporting materials when needed
- Basic knowledge of Google Suite products
- Reliable transportation for offsite workshops required for client site roles
Responsibilities:
Studio Management
- Oversee day-to-day studio organization and operations
- Manage, restock, and organize inventory including plants, vessels, tools, and workshop materials
- Prepare supplies and materials for upcoming workshops and events
- Pack and ship workshop kits for virtual participants and client events
- Keep the studio clean, organized, and ready for classes and customer visits
- Support store and studio displays, workflow, and general upkeep
- Help ensure the studio runs smoothly and efficiently on a daily basis
Workshop Instruction
- Lead workshop classes virtually, in the studio, and at client sites
- Set up, guide, and clean up workshops, ensuring an enjoyable and high-quality guest experience
- Confidently teach terrarium, plant, floral, and other nature-based workshop formats
- Capture photos and videos during workshops and upload them to company Dropbox for company use
- Work collaboratively and respectfully with team members during event execution
Collaboration & Feedback
- Communicate effectively with leadership and the team
- Ask questions, share ideas, and help improve systems and guest experience
- Provide feedback on workshop flow, materials, and operations
Compensation
Hourly Pay @ $20/hour
