Providing speech-language pathology services to K-12 students in an engaging educational setting requires skill, flexibility, and a passion for pediatric care. This full-time contract position offers a unique opportunity to support students communication development within an itinerant role in Gilroy, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services to students across multiple school sites.
- Provide indirect support, including collaboration with teachers, parents, and other educational staff.
- Manage caseload efficiently while adhering to district caseload limits.
- Travel between assigned schools as part of an itinerant schedule.
- Use evidence-based methods to assess and treat speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and professional standards.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) License or California Clear Teaching Credential (CTC) in SLP.
- Strong candidates who have completed (or are currently in) the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are welcomed.
- Experience or interest in delivering teletherapy is a plus.
- Background in pediatric speech-language pathology within schools or healthcare settings preferred.
- Ability to manage travel between school sites and maintain accurate documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Location and Schedule:
- Position based in Gilroy, CA with assignments throughout local K-12 schools.
- Full time 37.5 hours per week (8 hours with a 30-minute unpaid lunch).
- Academic year contract for 2025-2026 school year.
- Paid travel time included as driving between schools is required.
