Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract role spans the full school year, with anticipated start and end dates from July 22, 2026 (pending confirmation) through June 1, 2027. Flexible assignments are open at various grade levels, including early childhood, elementary, middle school, and high school.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field; advanced degrees welcomed
• Valid Special Education teaching certification in South Carolina (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience working with students across a variety of disabilities and educational needs
• Strong classroom management and individualized instructional skills
• Adaptable, compassionate, and collaborative approach to teaching
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students with special needs in resource or self-contained settings
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student success
• Adapt curriculum and utilize differentiated instructional strategies to meet each student’s needs
• Maintain thorough records, progress reports, and compliance with all federal and state education regulations
• Participate in ongoing staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities
