Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist is needed for a school-based contract position supporting students from preschool through middle school across multiple school sites in Newark, DE. This full-time role covers the school year with potential Extended School Year (ESY) opportunities. Candidates holding either their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities include providing direct speech and language therapy to students ranging from preschool to middle school levels. The caseload will focus on moderate to severe needs, with flexibility to accommodate candidate preferences between early elementary or upper elementary to middle school age groups. This position requires onsite workvirtual services are not possible due to the high-need nature of the caseload.
Key qualifications and requirements:
- CFY or CCC credential or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance
- Experience working with moderate to severe speech and language disorders
- Willingness to participate in professional development alongside school staff
- Commitment to in-person therapy delivery
