You’ll enjoy the flexibility to discover the local area on your days off, taking in scenic landscapes, historic sites, and the welcoming atmosphere of southwestern Indiana. The location also offers convenient access to Kentucky adventures just across the river.
Schedule:
- 12-hour night shifts: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Contract: 13 weeks, with guaranteed 36 hours per week (option for 48)
- Every third weekend, alternating holidays
- Potential to float with 2-hour advance notice as needed
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN compact license
- AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS (must be current)
- Minimum 2 years RN experience; at least 1 year in stepdown
- 1 prior travel assignment required
- Level II trauma experience
- Recent EPIC charting experience (checkoff required)
- Advanced skills in telemetry, 12-lead EKG interpretation, and titration of critical drips
- Ability to perform post-surgical/neuro assessments, dysphagia screens
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and adaptability
- Preferred: Familiarity with home vents, PleurX/Pericardial drains, VP shunts, lumbar drains
Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse patient assignment ratio (1:3-4 nights)
- Deliver post-cardiac, neuro, surgical, and general stepdown care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a teaching environment (may include precepting)
- Maintain strong communication and patient-centered focus
