ARU and its affiliated companies are seeking a full-time, hourly Marketing Associate to support key marketing and communications initiatives. This role is designed for a detail-oriented professional with 1-2 years of experience in marketing or communications who is comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. The associate will work closely with executives and team members to deliver consistent, professional, and engaging content across email, social media, web, and internal platforms.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Email Marketing: Develop and send marketing emails and broker updates through Mailchimp using established templates. Perform A/B testing and make adjustments based on performance.
  • Internal Communications: Assist in drafting and distributing the monthly company newsletter; partner with executives to prepare monthly presentations and performance reports.
  • Social Media: Prepare, schedule, and publish social media content across multiple platforms with guidance from the team.
  • Marketing Collateral: Fulfill broker and internal requests for flyers and other marketing materials; create and adapt assets using Canva.
  • Intranet Management: Maintain the company intranet by posting news updates (training provided; Claromentis experience a plus).
  • Website Maintenance: Perform minor website edits such as updating team member pages (Wix experience a plus).
  • SEO: Coordinate with underwriting and loss control team members to create blog content using relevant keywords for target brokers and insureds. Monitor and report results, and make adjustments to content strategy based on performance insights.
  • Manage Incoming Inquiries: Monitor inboxes and assign inquiries to team members based on content. ​​​​​​​
  • Market Research and Data Mining: Stay up to date on industry trends to identify timely content opportunities and analyze online sources to uncover potential leads, including targeted website scraping for data.
  • General Support: Assist with communications and custom requests as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • 1-2 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications or marketing preferred. Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple brands simultaneously and maintain consistent brand voice and standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in email marketing tools (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.)
  • Graphic design and marketing materials creation experience (ex., Canva, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)​​​​​​​
  • Expertise in social media channel management (LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, etc.)
  • Technical skills highly desired:
    • Website maintenance (Wix, Squarespace, etc.)
    • Intranet/CMS platforms (Claromentis, ThoughtFarmer, OnceHub, Pipedrive, etc.)
    • Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive)
    • Google Search Console
    • Video editing and tutorial creation
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Execute role with exceptional thoroughness, accuracy, personal organization, time management, and documentation skills. ​​​​​​​
  • Perform with a high level of polish and professionalism in all spoken and written communications, addressing all interactions tactfully.
  • Complete all duties with a sense of urgency, thoroughness, and accuracy, recognizing that how we work and interact with others is just as important as what we do.

REMOTE WORK STANDARDS:

Adherence to remote-work standards is required, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Maintain a professional home-office set-up with desk, chair, and space to work. (technical equipment provided).
  • Have reliable high-speed internet.
  • Ensure office space is an enclosed, separate, non-shared room free from distractions, including members of the household or pets.​​​​​​
  • Must be willing and able to work either EASTERN or CENTRAL business hours (8-5).
