Job DescriptionSenior Administrative Assistant
Location: Walnut Creek, CAPay Range: $25–$29/hour
Full-Time, Onsite: Flexible Start Time between 8-9am
Temp-to-HireWe are actively seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant to join a well-established, growth-oriented firm in the risk management and insurance space. This is a newly created role supporting a high-performing senior partner who leads a large, fast-moving book of business and a team of 10+ professionals. In this position, you’ll act as a true right hand, playing a critical role in keeping priorities aligned, operations flowing smoothly, and communication streamlined.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary administrative partner to a senior leader, helping manage daily priorities and long-term initiatives
  • Coordinate and maintain a complex calendar, proactively resolving conflicts and anticipating scheduling needs
  • Organize travel arrangements, meeting logistics, and key business commitments with attention to detail
  • Act as a gatekeeper by prioritizing incoming requests and ensuring timely follow-up
  • Support team coordination across a group of 10+ account managers and administrative staff
  • Prepare, format, and edit professional documents, reports, and presentations using Microsoft Office tools
  • Maintain organized systems and processes that improve efficiency and visibility across projects
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders and leadership
  • Take initiative to identify gaps, solve problems, and keep priorities moving forward
  • Provide occasional administrative support to office leadership as needed

To Be Successful in This Role, You'll Bring:

  • 3+ years of administrative support experience, preferably within insurance or financial services
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting deadlines
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • A proactive, forward-thinking mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and act independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a polished, professional presence
  • High level of reliability, discretion, and attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and shift priorities as needed
