Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Build accurate 3D models. Working primarily in Revit and/or Autocad with a plug-in for heavy timber (hsbcad and Cadwork).
  • Be a good ally. Collaborate and communicate clearly on a daily basis with in-house Project Managers and Designers to achieve project goals and deadlines.
  • Stay organized. Maintain scrum boards and to-do lists to track and notify team on status/progress.
  • Be a responsive and responsible trade-partner. Communicate regularly with external stakeholders (teams of Architects, Engineers, and Designers) to coordinate all project updates and information.
  • Be thorough. Create, revise, detail, and complete sets of 2D drawings and schedules for coordination, fabrication, and installation.
  • Abide by and develop standards for structural connections, and documenting processes.
  • Communicate clearly through drawings, RFI's, emails, teams' messages. Collect and provide project information to meet project deadlines.
  • Checking parts and converting to CNC files.
  • Be reliable. Follow regular business hours and complete your assigned tasks and scope of work.
  • Be innovative. Identify and propose concepts and processes to improve quality and efficiency. Assist in the development and implementation of project templates and component libraries.

Qualifications:

  • A passion for design, process, engineering, fabrication, and construction
  • Graduate of Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or similar/related Technical Programs
  • Knowledge of construction and drafting standards, and strong 3D modelling skills
  • Ability to read Construction Documents with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be a reliable team player who can prioritize, organize, and close their tasks
  • Excellent analytic, time-management, and problem-solving skills
  • Must have experience with: Revit and/or AutCAD & Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of: Dynamo, Rhino, Grasshopper, Sketchup, Navisworks, Miro, SalesForce, BlueBeam, Cambium, Hsbcad, Cadwork, Lumion, Python, C#, etc... are considered assets
