Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with required experience in both cardiac and vascular imaging for a 13-week travel contract.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting performing echocardiography and vascular studies
- Patient population includes adults in ICU and ED settings
- Variable start times: 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, or 2:00 PM
- Day shifts (5x8) from 7:30 AM–3:30 PM and evening shifts (5x8) from 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
- 1–2 weekend shifts per month and approximately 3 on-call shifts per month
- Siemens imaging equipment used
Requirements
- Both cardiac and vascular experience are required — this is a hard stop requirement
- ARDMS or CCI RCS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Proficiency in cardiac imaging: 2D Echo, Color Doppler, M-Mode, Bubble Study, Imaging with Contrast Agents, Portable Studies, RVIT, RVOT, Diastology, LV Strain/LV Volume, and Simpson's Rule
- Proficiency in vascular imaging: Carotid, Doppler Studies, Duplex, Lower Extremity Venous, Peripheral Vascular Resistance, Transcranial Doppler, Upper Extremity Arterial, and Upper Extremity Venous
- Experience performing procedures on patients in ICU and ED settings
- Ability to obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG
- Experience with isolation precautions
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform a full range of echocardiographic and vascular sonography studies including portable and contrast-enhanced exams
- Neonatal heart experience is preferred
- All scheduling and time-off requests must be disclosed at the time of submission
