Make a difference every day by supporting student growth as a dedicated contract paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year. This role focuses on providing one-on-one assistance to a single student in an engaging school environment near Cloquet, MN. You’ll be an essential part of the student’s educational journey, helping to foster confidence, independence, and success in the classroom.
What we’re seeking:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar educational support role is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially working with school-aged children
- Ability to follow specific educational plans and collaborate with teachers and staff
- A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to daily challenges
- High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in child development or related fields is a plus
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
What you’ll do:
- Provide direct support and guidance to one student during classroom activities and transitions
- Assist in implementing individualized educational strategies under teacher supervision
- Encourage positive social interactions and model appropriate behavior
- Document student progress and communicate with teachers and staff
- Support inclusion of the student in classroom and school activities
- Help with daily tasks and promote a safe, nurturing environment
Role highlights:
- Full school-year contract, from August 26, 2026, through June 11, 2027
- Consistent weekday schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:45 pm (33.75 hours per week)
- All work conducted onsite in a collaborative school setting
