Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Chief Medical Officer /Hospice Medical director to join our team! As the Chief Medical Officer, you will oversee all aspects of the hospice patient medical needs from admission to discharge. You will manage patients medical needs ensuring a balance between patient care and the facility’s fiscal health. You will serve as a liaison between staff and administration, ensure all healthcare regulations are upheld and implement new and innovative ways to improve the services we provide. The ideal candidate is an excellent leader with a deep understanding of clinical risk management and patient diagnosis and treatment, medication.
Responsibilities

• Create and implement short and long-term success strategies for the hospice/home health continued success
• Identify and address the patient admissions/discharges
• Provide leadership and foster engagement of personnel
• identifies patient diagnosis, upon admission according Medicare and Medicaid conditions of participation.
• Promote the hospice/ home health vision, mission, and company values
• Research and implement new approaches to improving patient care
• Evaluate, track, and report on company performance and goals
• monitors patient medications and participate in IDT TEAM MEETINGS
• Participate and directs care plans and treatment goals.
• oversee patient medication, write orders for equipment.
• signs off of treatment plans

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chief Medical Officer / hospice/ home health is preferred
• A medical degree and a Master of Business (MBA) , family practice physician /internal medicine/ geriatric specialty are preferred
• Extensive knowledge of clinical risk management and medication management,
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• computer skills and good communication skills
