Nextworld builds a forward-thinking, no-code, cloud-based development and runtime platform with robust capabilities for enterprise applications.
You will oversee activities and deliverables of product development for your functional area. Will be responsible for aligning intricate features with business objectives, executing the product roadmap strategy to meet market needs, and adapting to industry trends, as defined by product management.
This role extends beyond coordination to proactively align requirements to meet the strategy set for the product. Will translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements, to include features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria. Works in an Agile environment and continuously reviews the business needs, refines priorities, outlines milestones and deliverables, and identifies opportunities and risks. Demonstrates advanced proficiency in technology, mastering tools like Jira strategically to streamline processes and maximize productivity at every stage of product development.
Responsibilities:
Requirements Planning
- Refines the product backlog, ensuring alignment with long-term product vision while maximizing customer value and product strategy.
- Takes a leadership role in sprint ceremonies, not just participating but guiding discussions and outcomes in sprint review, planning, and retrospective meetings.
- Elevates the quality of user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items by providing comprehensive, detailed, and innovative insights, driving readiness for development teams.
- Leads management of the release backlog, collaborating closely with product managers to make informed trade-off decisions that optimize value within resource constraints.
- Leads and conducts refined backlog activities, contributing expertise in story timing and sizing to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Creates and maintains comprehensive product documentation, including user guides and release notes.
Product Vision and Strategy
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders including product owners, developers, architects, and quality analysts, to not just execute but innovate in alignment with the overarching product vision and strategy.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Participates in daily Scrum stand-up meetings to share progress and blockers.
- Takes a lead role in fostering collaboration not only within but also between inter-team and cross-team stakeholders, ensuring a cohesive alignment towards sprint goals and collective success.
- Serves as the central nexus for scrum teams, adeptly representing and integrating feedback from diverse internal and external stakeholders, steering product development in line with evolving requirements.
- Establishes and leads a comprehensive partnership with quality assurance teams, driving a collective commitment to high-quality deliverables by actively engaging in quality assurance processes.
- Works closely with development teams to ensure a shared understanding of product requirements and maintain open communication throughout the development process.
- Takes a lead role in collaborating with the documentation team to ensure product documentation is updated and aligned with current product functionality.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in functional area of experience ,or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
- Necessary functional experience to perform job responsibilities and fulfill competency expectations.
- Experience with Agile / Scrum development methodologies.
- Possess an understanding of product management and software engineering principles and practices.
- Proven interest to remain updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
Starting Salary Range: $97,000 – $138,000 per year
About the Team:
We build the no-code enterprise application platform (a.k.a. “EAP”) that is used by Nextworld’s customers and partners to create and run enterprise-grade business solutions. We have a knack for abstracting complex technical concepts into no-code facilities that are straightforward to use. The Platform allows for the development and execution of involved, integrated business applications — complete with workflow, business logic, eventing, external callouts, notifications, various user experiences, artificial intelligence, and more. Examples of applications suites built on the Platform are enterprise financials, sales, inventory, manufacturing, and real estate.

Position located in Greenwood Village, CO. Nextworld's hybrid model has co-location in-office days on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
