Emergency Room Nurse

- Guaranteed Hours: Min 36/Week
- Overtime available starts after 40 hours by the week
Pay Package details
- Hourly Rate - $66/HR
- OT/Holiday Rate - $99/HR
- Weekly gross - $2376 based on 36 hours
Job Description
Provides patient care in an emergency setting, reflecting initiative, flexibility, and responsibility with minimum supervision. Triages safely, rapidly, and accurately. Communicates with physicians about patient status. Must be willing to cross-train in other nursing departments as the need arises.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current California RN license, BLS, ACLS* and PALS* certifications required, with 2+ years recent ER experience preferred and operating knowledge of Electronic Medical Records preferred.
- Must pass nursing medication test. Must be able to effectively communicate in English; both verbal and written.
- Must have good interpersonal skills and interface professionally, tactfully, and respectfully with patients, staff, the general public, and governmental agency reps.
- Basic computer skills required.
*If not ACLS and PALS certified, new hires must obtain the required certification within 90-days of hire.
