Qualifications:
Mandatory:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Proficient in computer applications
- Strong customer service skills
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Experience in interventional radiology
- Experience in critical care settings
Required Certifications and Licenses:
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Active RN license in New Jersey or a compact RN license with NJ endorsement
- ACLS certification
- Certification in Vascular Access
Scheduling Details:
- Day shift, 40 hours per week
- Full-time position
- Monday to Friday, with alternating weekends and holiday rotations
- On-call duties required
Key Responsibilities:
The Professional Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical team, adhering to the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act. This role involves implementing the hospital's mission and objectives through established policies and performance improvement initiatives. The nurse will provide tailored, age-appropriate nursing care to patients within their assigned unit, utilizing knowledge of growth and development principles to assess individual patient needs and determine suitable treatment options. Responsibilities also include managing clinical quality outcomes, maintaining necessary documentation, assisting in the development of clinical pathways, and participating in quality improvement activities.
Additional Responsibilities:
Provide patient care in the Radiology Department for both diagnostic and interventional procedures. Employ assessment techniques and educational strategies to evaluate the effectiveness of care. Document patient responses to procedures as necessary and engage in quality improvement initiatives. Utilize knowledge of growth and development principles to assess and address the specific needs of patients.
