Job DescriptionAccounts Payable Clerk
Location: Northern Kentucky
Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Shift: First Shift
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk on behalf of our client in Northern Kentucky. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has experience processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting daily accounting operations.
Responsibilities
• Process high-volume invoices accurately and efficiently
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation
• Review invoices for accuracy and proper approvals before payment processing
• Enter invoice data into the accounting system and maintain detailed records
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, vendor inquiries, and payment issues
• Reconcile vendor statements and maintain positive vendor relationships
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations
• Monitor accounts payable aging reports and ensure timely payments
• Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems for accounting documents
• Support the accounting team with additional administrative and financial projects as needed
Qualifications
• Previous accounts payable, accounting clerk, or bookkeeping experience preferred
• Strong data entry skills with excellent attention to detail
• Experience working with accounting or ERP software
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas and spreadsheet management
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or finance is a plus
