Job Description: Mailroom/Machine Operator (Temp-to-Perm)
Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mailroom/Machine Operator for a temporary-to-permanent opportunity in our Glen Burnie, MD site. This role focuses on providing essential administrative support to business operations through the processing, sorting, and scanning of incoming mail and materials. The successful candidate will operate high-speed mail processing equipment and ensure complete accuracy and compliance in all tasks.

Schedule Full-Time: 40 hours per week
Work Days Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Days Off Wednesday and Sunday
Shift Hours 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Compensation $18.00 per hour
Contract Length Temporary (11/17/2025 - 02/16/2026) with opportunity for Permanent Conversion
Note: We are primarily seeking candidates residing in Anne Arundel County, MD, including Severn, Glen Burnie, Crofton, Linthicum, Ferndale, and Gambrills, due to current commute challenges from other areas.
Key Responsibilities
The Transaction Processing Specialist II will be responsible for a variety of mailroom and data capture duties, including:

Mail Processing & Sorting:
-
Operating high-speed Opex P40 mail sorter and Opex envelopener equipment.

Performing physical sorting of mail into corresponding lockbox mail bins.

Handsorting mis-sorted mail and other documents as assigned.

Scanning & Data Capture:
-
Conducting inbound scanning and delivery of receipted mail.

Operating high/low speed capture equipment for transaction processing.

Handling exceptions and similar activities related to document imaging.

General Duties:

Performing basic data entry and utilizing computer applications.

Completing required accuracy and compliance testing.

Performing clerical tasks as needed and other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Must have basic data entry skills and working computer knowledge.

Ability to operate mail sorting and opening equipment (training provided on specific models).

Must be able to perform physical duties, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 10 lbs.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail is critical.

Ability to work the required schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
