This role plays a key leadership function within the organisation, overseeing all aspects of the indirect auto lending program. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining a high performing dealer network, optimizing loan origination processes, and ensuring all activities align with regulatory requirements and internal risk standards. This individual is comfortable operating in a fully in office environment and is confident leading dealer strategy, performance analysis, and operational execution.
They demonstrate excellent communication and analytical skills, are highly organised, and are capable of balancing growth objectives with disciplined risk management. The ideal candidate is proactive, commercially minded, and motivated to drive consistent, high quality loan production while protecting the institution’s credit standards and reputation.

Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum education requirement of a Bachelor’s degree

- Required professional experience of approximately 10 to 15 years in indirect lending, auto finance, or related financial services roles
- Management experience preferred for operational oversight and team leadership
- Occasional travel required for dealership engagement
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects of dealership based indirect auto lending operations
• Build, maintain, and expand strong relationships with auto dealerships to drive loan volume and quality originations
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new dealership partners in alignment with the institution’s lending strategy
• Provide guidance, training, and ongoing support to dealership partners to ensure successful program participation
• Analyse dealer performance metrics, loan trends, and portfolio data to inform pricing strategies and business development decisions
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimise loan origination workflows and operational efficiency
• Lead and support staff involved in indirect lending operations, fostering accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement
• Ensure full compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies
• Monitor credit quality and take proactive action to address emerging risks or performance issues
• Contribute to strategic planning initiatives related to growth, profitability, and dealer network optimisation

Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required in finance, business administration, economics, or a related field.
Experience:
- Extensive experience in dealership based indirect lending and auto finance, typically gained over 10 or more years
- Proven background in dealer relationship management and portfolio performance oversight
- Experience leading or coordinating teams involved in lending operations is strongly preferred
Skills:
- Strong leadership and relationship management capabilities
- In depth knowledge of dealership operations and indirect auto lending models
- Proficiency in credit risk assessment, pricing strategies, and performance analysis
- Advanced analytical thinking with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
