Job Description
The Machine Operator will operate mechanical or CNC punch press equipment, utilizing measuring tapes, calipers, and other hand-held measuring equipment to ensure parts meet specifications. This production role offers the opportunity to learn how to operate fabrication equipment and progress into setup responsibilities.
Responsibilities

- Learn and advance in operating fabrication equipment.
- Progress into setup responsibilities as skills develop.
Essential Skills
- 1+ year of machine operating experience, preferably with punch, brake, or fabrication equipment.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Dedication to safety.
- Blueprint reading experience preferred.
- Experience with inspection tools preferred.

Work Environment
This is the safest sheet metal shop in the country, with a team environment offering growth opportunities. The owner builds personal relationships with employees, knowing their names, families, backgrounds, and interests. The shop is equipped with high-end machinery and has an on-site training program where a Dunwoody instructor teaches equipment programming and setup weekly. The company offers a 4-year apprenticeship program for those aspiring to become journeyman sheet metal workers. The weekend shift, referred to as the '3rd' shift, runs Friday to Sunday, 5:30am to 6:00pm, where employees work 36 hours but are paid for 40.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fridley, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
