Sigmatech, Inc. is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Space Policy and Business Development Analyst in support of Eastern Region Operations including the National Capital Region, Cape Canaveral, Huntsville, and other opportunities as they arise. This position requires the ability to manage multiple input streams, apply policy knowledge to existing and potential Space opportunities, proactively research Space business opportunities, and provide input and review Space proposals. The candidate will report to Sigmatech's Eastern Region Vice President, interface with government and industry Space leaders, and will need to be comfortable working at the executive level. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of our company in highly critical mission areas for the Department of Defense (DoD).
Responsibilities
Working independently, or as part of a diverse multi-disciplined team, the Senior Space Policy and Business Development (BD) Analyst will:
- Maintain situational awareness and track DoD initiatives in the Space Enterprise to include initiatives that utilize Space for technical solutions and effectiveness.
- Maintain a close working relationship with the Space Division and Corporate BD teams to discuss new or existing opportunities, concerns, issues, risks, schedule status or changes, priorities, and any other matters related to BD and company growth.
- Learn the elements of the BD process to include where to obtain information and getting on appropriate distribution lists.
- Understand the DoD, Space Force, Air Force, and Joint organizational structure and processes.
- Be able to build and maintain relationships across government agencies and industry; use networks to gain information on opportunities and understand key areas where the DoD needs help.
- Be familiar with current Sigmatech Space strategies, contracts, pipelines, timelines, and execution philosophy.
- Specifically understand the elements of Space Launch and Security Cooperation initiatives supporting the DoD.
- Contribute to other tasks closely associated with the performance of duties listed above.
- Active TS security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- 15-20 years' experience supporting Space Launch, Security Cooperation, or other relevant DoD mission areas.
- Master's degree from an accredited institution in relevant field (8 years of experience in a relevant field may be substituted for the education requirement).
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to plan, track, and maintain due dates for multiple tasks and products central to the organization's business processes.
- Exemplary writing and editing skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing work environments while maintaining flexibility and versatility.
- Experience working successfully with senior executives at multiple organizational levels.
- Demonstrated proficiency with using Microsoft Office and other standard computer applications.
- Experience fostering stable and productive working relationships that communicate expectations and promote cooperation.
- Experience communicating effectively and concisely using a variety of styles and techniques appropriate to the audience.
- Ability to work collaboratively with personnel at all levels of the customer organization to deliver results; strong networking, interpersonal, and customer service skills are key.
