Project Manager – Crane & Rigging (Construction)

About the Role
MARR Crane & Rigging is seeking a Project Manager to support our growing operations across the Greater Boston construction market.
This is a hybrid role combining business development, estimating, and project management, with responsibility from initial client contact through project execution and billing.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Business Development
Build and maintain relationships with contractors. Develop new business through site visits, referrals, and networking. Prepare and submit quotes, proposals, and scope narratives.
Project Planning & Execution
Perform jobsite visits to assess conditions and logistics. Determine crane, rigging, and equipment requirements. Develop lift plans and coordinate crews, equipment, and schedules. Support field operations and resolve issues as needed. Coordinate permitting (street occupancy, police details, DOT, etc.).
Operations & Financial
Generate job documentation including work orders, lift plans, and safety paperwork. Track jobs for billing and assist with change orders and collections. Monitor job costs and support monthly billing reviews.
Qualifications
Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working with both clients and field teams.
Preferred:
2+ years in construction, project management, estimating, or related field. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings. Crane & rigging experience. AutoCAD or lift planning software experience. Knowledge of the Boston-area construction market.
Technical Skills
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Willingness to learn internal systems and CAD tools.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $54,000 – $86,000
Projected Commissions: $16,000 – $40,000+
Total compensation is performance-driven and tied to revenue generation and project success.

Additional Expectations
Occasional early morning, evening, or weekend coordination. Participation in meetings, safety training, and industry events.
