Controls Technician

  • 2pm – 10pm
  • Monday - Saturday


A Controls Technician is responsible for the installation, calibration and maintenance of automated industrial machinery. A Controls Technician keeps things running smoothly as they check on and maintain machinery. Successful Controls Technicians are able to respond quickly to any problems that might arise.


Job Duties

  1. Follow all safety requirements
  2. Test, troubleshoot, and assist implementation of new processes and robotics
  3. Install retrofits to existing systems and troubleshoot hardware, software, and instrument problems
  4. Supports start-up activities
  5. Follow and support company IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 policies, procedures and work instructions
  6. Perform automation processes
  7. Perform testing procedures, write reports and make sure that the instruments you maintain, comply with quality standards and safety regulations
  8. Diagnose, Adjust, Fit and Test PLCs, HMIs, cameras, sensors and any other devices that operate automated equipment
  9. Available for support calls 24/7
  10. Work within a team environment
  11. Work overtime as required
  12. Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  1. Completion of a 2-year degree or technical certificate program
  2. 3 to 5 years manufacturing experience and a strong technical knowledge in the programming, installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment including robots, scanners, and cameras
  3. Superior analytical capabilities
  4. Problem-solving and decision-making
  5. Good written and verbal communication skills
  6. Ability to work with minimal supervision
  7. Ability to manage multiple projects
  8. Electrical diagnostics experience or training required
