The Clinical Nursing Supervisor is responsible for managing patient care operations within telemetry observation units. This role includes offering clinical support to the nursing staff and performing nursing tasks as necessary. Candidates must hold a valid RN license, relevant life support certifications, and possess a minimum of two years of patient care experience, with a preference for those with supervisory backgrounds. The position entails physical demands and fosters a collaborative healthcare atmosphere that emphasizes innovation and compassionate care.

This role involves assisting in the planning, coordination, implementation, and assessment of operations and patient care in designated areas. The Clinical Nursing Supervisor acts as a clinical resource for both staff and patients within the department and may also function as a staff nurse when required. Additionally, the supervisor will take on managerial responsibilities as assigned by a manager, ensuring that all duties align with our mission, values, and service standards.

Position Details:

Education:
• Completion of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure:
• It is the candidate's responsibility to secure and maintain a current RN license in the state of employment or under compact licensure, fulfilling all state board of nursing requirements.

Certification:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or successful completion of the course within 30 days of employment.
• Depending on the specific position or unit, additional certifications may be required within a designated timeframe, including but not limited to:
• - ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• - NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• - ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
• - TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• - CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurse)
• - OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
• - PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• - PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
• - S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
• - C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
• - Other unit-specific certifications as necessary.

Experience:
• A minimum of 2 years of patient care experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Supervisory experience is preferred.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:
• The role necessitates the ability to regularly push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs.
• Prolonged standing and walking are required throughout each shift.
• The position demands the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to fulfill job responsibilities.
