Job DescriptionPosition Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector with a strong background inaerospace manufacturing to ensure all products meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing inspections, verifying documentation, and maintaining full traceability of precision components and assemblies in accordance with aerospace specifications and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify product and documentation compliance with engineering drawings, purchase orders, and inspection plans.

  • Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of aerospace parts and assemblies using calibrated tools and measuring equipment.

  • Conduct visual, dimensional, and weld inspections to ensure adherence to quality and customer specifications.

  • Execute fit, function, and proof load tests when required and document results accurately.

  • Review documentation for completeness, accuracy, and traceability in accordance with AS9100 and internal quality system requirements.

  • Generate and process nonconformance reports (NCRs) and assist in root cause and corrective action activities.

  • Maintain accurate inspection records in electronic systems and ensure data integrity throughout the process.

  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline inspection workflows and enhance quality performance.

  • Ensure all inspection activities comply with 6S, safety, and housekeeping standards to promote a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certifications (e.g., ASQ, NDT, or CMM) preferred.

  • 3+ years of experience in quality inspection within an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment.

  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).

  • Proficiency with standard inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and comparators.

  • Familiarity with aerospace quality standards (AS9100, ISO 9001) and documentation control practices.

  • Basic computer skills and experience with quality management systems (e.g., ERP or Global Shop preferred).

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Must be able tostand, walk, and use hands for extended periods during inspections.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed.

  • Work is performed in both office and manufacturing environments, with occasional exposure to noise, oil, and metal particulates.
