Position Summary:
Community Health Northwest Florida is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our care team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive pediatric care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and consultation, in an outpatient setting. Working independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in delivering quality healthcare and promoting wellness among children and their families in our community.
Essential Functions:

Provide medical services within the scope of license and approved medical privileges.

Evaluate and manage the health and development of pediatric patients, addressing disease prevention and health promotion.

Obtain medical histories, perform physical exams, diagnose and treat common childhood illnesses and injuries.

Prescribe medications, administer vaccinations, conduct screenings, and perform diagnostic tests.

Educate patients and families on preventive health, nutrition, and treatment plans.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.

Participate in peer reviews, quality improvement initiatives, and staff meetings.

Maintain current licensure, certifications, and continuing medical education.

Provide mentorship or preceptorship for medical/clinical students as appropriate.
Supervision:
Oversees daily tasks of assigned clinical support staff.
Minimum Requirements:

Current Florida-licensed Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA).

Master’s degree in nursing or related field from an accredited institution.

Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications.
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or similar community health environment.
