POSITION PURPOSE

The Commercial Relationship Officer provides guidance, knowledge, support, and expertise, to the banking center team to ensure strong Commercial customer relationships are maintained and challenges are resolved quickly and in a professional manner. While servicing commercial clients will be the primary focus, providing additional support to the Retail side of the bank and providing back up support to the BCM will be essential.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

•Responsible for providing expert guidance to staff regarding financial services.

  • Including but not limited to the following:
  • Opening and closing accounts
  • Account revisions
  • Renewing time deposit accounts
  • Account maintenance for all products
  • Effective problem resolution in all areas of the banking center
  • Process and ensure accuracy of all commercial wire requests as needed
  • Work closely with BCM to process all new and renewal of Public Fund depository contracts
  • Have extensive knowledge of all complex deposit products
  • Work closely with Treasury Support / Sales Team to protect customers from fraudulent activity
  • Work with other internal business partners to resolve customer issues
  • Assume all Banking Center Manager responsibilities in the absence of the BCM.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role has no direct supervisory responsibilities. However, they will act in a supervisory role when managing the duties in the absence of a BCM, including managing all retail associates.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Associate degree in business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and work experience.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Thorough knowledge of Bank services and products. Understanding of related legal and regulatory requirements. Familiarity with Branch functions, policies, and procedures.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 5 years of Banking Center Manager experience. 5 years minimum of all aspects of Customer Service, retail and commercial.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Sound judgment.

PC proficiency, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.

Proven track record in working with Banking Center, Regional, and Area management.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.

Ability to represent the Bank effectively in a variety of settings and with diverse customers.

Well organized.

Ability to work under pressure.

Ability to work with different personalities, and all levels of job responsibilities.

Excellent planning and organizational skills, including the ability to work

independently on projects of high complexity with minimal supervision.

Ability to multitask is essential.

AVERAGE VISUAL ABILITIES: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery.

PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.

WORKING CONDITIONS

NONE: No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions (such as in a typical office).

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to deal with a variety of variables under only limited standardization.


Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
