Job Description

We are partnering with public and non-public school districts to place licensed Physical Therapists in school-based settings for the current and upcoming school year.

This role is ideal for PTs who enjoy working with students, value consistent schedules, and want meaningful, impact-driven work in an educational environment.


🩺 Position Overview

As a School Physical Therapist, you will support students with physical disabilities and developmental challenges, helping them access their educational environment safely and effectively.

Assignments may include:

  • Per diem coverage
  • Part-time schedules
  • Full-time and long-term placements


🧠 Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy services to students in accordance with IEPs
  • Evaluate students’ motor skills, mobility, posture, and functional abilities
  • Collaborate with teachers, school nurses, special education teams, and families
  • Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans
  • Support students in achieving academic and functional goals within the school setting


✅ Requirements

  • Valid Physical Therapist license (NY or NJ, depending on assignment)
  • School-based experience preferred (but not required)
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary school team
  • Compliance with school clearance requirements (fingerprinting, physical, etc.)
