Job Title: Medical Assistant (CMA)
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Type: Contract
Duration: 8 Weeks
Shift & Schedule:
Day Shift (5x8)
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Thursday: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
40 Guaranteed Hours Per Week

Pay Rate: $29 - $33/hr (Based on Experience)

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant (CMA) for an exciting Contract opportunity in Brooklyn, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures while ensuring a positive patient experience.

  • Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and other patient information accurately.

  • Assist physicians and clinical staff during patient visits and medical procedures.

  • Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow to support efficient clinic operations.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using EMR systems.

  • Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and healthcare staff.

  • Maintain exam room cleanliness, supplies, and equipment readiness.

  • Follow infection control guidelines and patient safety protocols.

  • Perform general administrative and clerical duties as assigned.

  • Support daily clinic operations and workflow management.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Completion of an approved Medical Assistant Program required.

  • BLS Certification required.

  • Computer literacy required.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).

  • Previous Medical Assistant experience.

  • Experience in a healthcare facility.

  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

  • Strong clinical and administrative support skills.
