Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 educational institution in Sault Sainte Marie, MI, is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support student communication and language development throughout the academic year. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a diverse student population from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience providing speech-language services within school settings.
- Proven ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of current evidence-based practices in speech and language therapy.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify student needs.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with educational goals.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in various grade levels.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success.
- Participate in IEP meetings and assist in curriculum modifications related to speech and language objectives.
