Job DescriptionPosition: Accountant
*Role will be 100% remote through the end of 2026. Please note, only candidates residing on the East Coast (within travel distance to NYC area) can be considered*
LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a Corporate Services and Events Management company to fill a long-term, temporary (remote) Accountant position based out of the NYC Metro area.
Responsibilities:

Performing general ledger maintenance including account reconciliation, transactional journal entries, and adjusting journal entries

Working with members of the Accounting team across the US to prepare and analyze financial statements

Reconciling bank statements on a monthly basis
-
Periodically assisting with and overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as needed for upcoming events

Collaborating with Finance team on forecasting expenses and budget preparation

Working with internal and external auditors through audit processes

Providing guidance to junior level accounting staff as needed
-
Completing Ad-hoc projects as needed
Education Requirements
-
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
Technical Skills/Soft Skills:
-
4+ years of general accounting experience
-
Strong Excel Skills (pivot tables, vlookups) for reporting

Large ERP system experience is highly desired (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)

Positive attitude and strong communication skills as the role is 100% remote
Schedule:

100% remote but MUST reside on the East Coast
Hours:
-
9 - 5:30 PM (can work up to 40 hours per week, occasional overtime)
